We are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon in June (Yes we know it will be very hot). Coming over from western Florida (Pensacola). Looking to come through Waco, TX then on to NM and AZ. Looking for the best route from Waco to possibly Four Corners Monument and then on to Williams, AZ. We already have reservations on the train from Williams to Grand Canyon. Traveling with 3 adults & teen (myself, and my son, daughter-in-law and 16 yr old granddaughter). Looking for scenic drives (I think they will all be that for us since this area is unfamiliar) and things to do.
Thanks for any help.

I have been to the Grand Canyon in June and I did not think the heat was too bad.I dont think the Grand Canyon region gets as hot as somewhere like Phoenix.Flagstaff and Sedona are real neat. There's Sunset Crater and Wupatki National Monument not too far from Flagstaff. You could go to Cameron Trading Post and have some Navajo Tacos and frybread.
