Denver is a VERY gay friendly city. WE have lots of gay bars and nightclubs and we are very politically active. We are kind of the "liberal island" in Colorado.
This years PRIDE Fest was the 2nd biggest in the US with 250,000 people.

I have had friends move here or visit from New York and San Fran and they are pleasantly surprised by the open and accepting attitude of Denver.
We are different in that we do NOT have little pockets or neighborhoods that are "gay areas" the whole city is great, PRIDE flags and HRC stickers EVERYWHERE
That said, we are getting transferred to Austin in a while for a job, I have heard that Austin is similar to Denver.
