The bridge to the Island is on Chestnut Avenue. The intersections with Elizabeth Street, Trenton Street, Waldo Avenue are on the Island. It's a tiny neighborhood but it's known locally.

You could classifiy it as part of the Hilltop neighborhood. The wikipedia article about Hilltop mentions it, saying:

"The Island is a small enclave within the Hilltop neighborhood which takes its name from its location atop an isolated outcropping of Bergen Hill formerly called Mount Pleasant [6] which has been diminished in size by the railroads tracks which surround it. Vehicular traffic can travel along Chestnut Avenue onto the island, which is also served by a footbridge at Waldo Avenue. The name Island was used as early as the 1960s and though unknown to many because of the small size.[7]"

Tangletown, Minneapolis.

It was named this way because the neighborhood encompasses a hilly area that was originally left undeveloped. It interrupted the street grid of South Minneapolis, and was too hard for streetcars to navigate. When it finally got developed in the 1920s, the streets wound around the hillsides in a "tangle", hence the name.

If you look at a map of South Minneapolis, it's the only area not next to a lake that deviates from the grid.

For my city, Atlanta, I'd put the neighborhood called "Just Us". It's named that way because the neighborhood is the smallest in the city out of 200+ neighborhoods and because it consists of only two streets.

I love these neighborhood names from New Orleans:

Treme
Gentilly
Irish Channel
Storyville
Algiers Point
Marigny

There are many others but to me these are cool names.

The Dallas/Fort Worth metro area also has some cool names:

Flower Mound
Fate
Venus

Austin too:
Bee Cave
Buda
Leander
Manchaca
Serenada

It does. The founders of the neighborhood were Dutch.

Norfolk's most beautiful/famous neighborhood is called "Ghent," but that's named after the Treaty of Ghent (and Norfolk's role in the War of 1812 as a major naval hub).
