We know we were in a housing crisis for years and finally are recovering from all those foreclosures that happened .
Today it is looking much better 1n 2017 as house values are coming back slowly. Many areas were hit very hard when the housing crisis happened. Today many of those same areas are thriving.
Here is the list that Forbes put out for 2017. People are moving to warmer locations today.

This is an odd post from someone who spent 5 years arguing rising home prices was a very bad thing. So, now its a good thing?

If property values are down , no one wants to move into that area.. if it is a stable area the values go higher and more people move in to get some kind of equity built into their home as the years move by. That is why it is a good thing.
Raleigh and the rest of the triangle is exploding right now. property values are creeping up. homes , new grocery stores, apartment complexes, chain restaurants are being built all over the place
Normally, I'd be interested in something like this, but this is just one of those days when "Slide 1 of 26" just makes me go to the next thread in the forum.
Parts of Upstate NY are in the "barely habitable" belt now.
I believe that the poster is referring to resources and Upstate NY would be a top 15 state in population if it was its own state. Just the I-90 corridor portion of Upstate NY alone(regions from Albany to Buffalo) would be on par with states such as OR and SC in terms of population currently. So, there are more people in Upstate NY than people may realize.
