A few people on this thread have mentioned Wild Waves in the Seattle area, which is apparently closed. I seem to remember seeing old ('60s-era) photos of an amusement park on Aurora, but that's long gone too.

All I'm seeing now is the Tukwila Family Fun Center & Bullwinkle's Restaurant --- and that doesn't have any roller coasters, Ferris wheels, etc., it's just like a water park with go-karts and an arcade and stuff. I would probably call that an "entertainment center" or something, to me an amusement park is something else.

(Unrelated: do kids still recognize Rocky & Bullwinkle in 2020?)

City of Los Angeles doesn't have an amusement park.

Disneyland Park / Disney California Adventure Park - Anaheim, CA
Universal Studios Hollywood - Universal City, CA
Six Flags Magic Mountain / Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles - Valencia, CA
Knott's Berry Farm / Knott's Soak City - Buena Park, CA
Raging Waters Los Angeles - San Dimas, CA
Pacific Park - Santa Monica, CA
Adventure City - Anaheim, CA

It has LA zoo though.

I agree. I rarely every focus only on the central city. One gets a much better impression of the offerings of the metro area as a whole.

This thread should've been named "Biggest metros without amusement parks and/or zoos"

It does have a few amusement rides like a drop tower and a frog hopper, so it could be considered a small amusement park while still primarily being considered an entertainment center.

The Charlotte area has a safari-type zoo just to the north of the city (Lazy 5 Ranch). It's actually really nice. But as far as a typical major zoo, there aren't any. There have been talks over the decades of building one, but it never happened. The closest would be the NC Zoo in Asheboro (just south of Greensboro) and Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC.

While North Carolina cities get brought up alot with the NC Zoo being one of the only two state zoos in the country. This is the first time that the bolded part has been brought up here.
