When I think of Utah, the first thing that comes to mind is four wheeling in a Jeep on the trails around Moab. Elephant hill, the Top of the World, Metal Masher, Fins & Things, etc.
The second thing that comes to mind is the Moab Brewery.
Yeah, all of my thoughts about Utah are centered in and around Moab!
Sadly, I no longer have a Jeep, so I haven't been there in many years.

Yeah, some of the greatest four-wheeling anywhere is found around Moab. And for those without a four-wheeler of their own, taking a Hummer tour over Hell's Revenge at sunset can't be beat for a thrilling, memorable-in-every-way adventure.

I have been to Utah. I've driven through it and spent time there.
Park City is an anomaly, that's a great little town. SLC is boring and sterile. Southern Utah is backwards and full of pushy conservatives who get married at age 20 and pop out 10029 kids.

I'd have. To say the spectacular beauty of much of the state. What comes to mind the most though, is the SLC Airport. Im retired now but worked for Delta Airlines and SLC is Delta's Hub. So I passed thru that airport so many times

I lived in Salt Lake City for about 10 years. This reply is pretty accurate.
I don't understand the purpose or title behind this thread.
It should have been titled: Aside from "Mormons" what comes to mind when you think of Utah so I can try to convince that it's really not.

- Lots of sunny, crisp days, lack of humidity, and the lack of stubborn grayness of the Eastern US.
- People with healthier lifestyles. Somewhere I read that Utah had the lowest percentage of smokers of any state, plus I think the obesity rate is much lower than average too if I'm remembering correctly.
- My third item is probably gut perception more than anything, but I think of morally straight laced people being more common in Utah, BUT thinking the ones who rebel end up rebelling to more of an extreme than states where more people are kind of middle of the road between straight laced/pious and rebellious.
