I know that there might have been some thread about best airports before. But want to start a thread with a pool, of which airport in the US you think is the best. But wait, let's put all the technical stuff aside like: Delays, lost baggage, security line, rude employes and stuff. Let just think about the Architecture and Aesthetics of the airport itself, which one do you looks the nicest, cleanest, architecturally appealing, leaves a good first impression, makes you feel welcomed, etc.

Despite being actually located in Kansas, Denver Int'l is by far the best airport in the country....

I have 2 favorites:

-Honolulu: Of course the flight in helps a lot because you get to go over the beautiful beaches. But also I love the architecture of the airport - many of the corridors are open to the outdoors, so the climate is natural and you can feel the breeze as you are walking through the airport. They also give out leis!! Can't beat that!!

-Portland: I loved the big windows in the corridors that show the natural scenery of the PNW. It's not a huge airport either so I liked that about it.

-I've probably been to DFW the most, but I'm not crazy about it. A lot of ppl love that airport though.

Outside appearance? Denver's airport is pretty sweet. Inside appearance? I do love O' Hare's new terminals though, theyre really nice looking, as are the restaurants inside of them.

I love Honolulu. Denver is cool, if a bit far from, well, Denver. Pittsburgh and Cincinatti are built similarly to Denver.

Architecturally -Chicago-O'Hare
Aesthetically-Orlando

I have flown in and had a layover in Denver and did not remember the airport. There are so many votes for it, I wish I did.

I think New Orleans and NY-JFK have the ugliest airports

I think LAX is neat which is Los angeles international. The reason why I like LAX because its really represents the west coast and it's very uniquehttp://www.friedmanarchives.com/Cali...0300%20dpi.jpghttp://www.you-are-here.com/architect/lax.jpg (broken link) http://www.mediaarchitecture.org/wp-...4/LAX3_500.jpghttp://www.skillramp.com/images/lax.jpg (broken link)

Well, if you remove the Encounters Restaurant Building, the airport doesn't really have anything appealing if you ask me. The terminals are all pretty much stuck in the 1960's. Sure some terminals like the American, Delta, or United terminals have been redone inside with marble floors, but the front of the buildings are ugly if you ask me. Your entitled to your opinion though. The only thing LAX has going for it is no weather delays so the flights are on time more than other airports and good nonstop international service.

I personally think Denver looks great also. The sight of the impressive roof line that looks like the mountains is really impressive. Nice concourses inside too.
