Anyone else already TIRED of this? Shoveled for 2 hours today, and am about to go back out. Tons of snow dumped here in Northeastern New Jersey. Roads are an absolute mess and its supposed to go into the negative TWENTIES in wind chill. Absolutely nuts!

How is everyone else on the east coast handling it?

Only a few inches and Central MD. Not too bad. The wind and the cold though, yuck.

We got a dusting in the Baltimore area. Luckily, it's was powder, so not need for the ice scraper today.

SERIOUS QUESTION: If the roads are a mess and you can’t go anywhere anyway, why are you shoveling??

It’s easy for me to handle it since I live in an inner city apartment building without a car and get around by subway. I don’t have to worry about shoveling, cars, roads, and all that. I do have to walk in it and deal with the cold though.

Life pretty much goes on. No school tomorrow for kids in the area though.

Usually during bad storms I shovel every 3-4 hours because if you leave it all until the next day, its harder to shovel and you need to shovel more snow.

The flooding in Coastal Massachusetts is something that I've never seen in the winter. Dozens and dozens of rescues in the area with wind gusts pushing 80 mph. We've seen 18 inches of snow many times, but the flooding followed by the -30/-40 degree weather is quite severe.
