If I were charged with the next elimination round, this would be my list of 10 finalists.

Atlanta, GA
Boston, MA
Dallas, TX
Montgomery County, MD
Newark, NJ
New York, NY
Northern Virginia, VA
Philadelphia, PA
Pittsburgh, PA
Washington, DC

Mind you, these are not necessarily my favorites, but to me they make the most sense.
If forced to make a practical decision, who do I see as the best fit? Montgomery County.
In my heart of hearts? Philadelphia.

Ok are they doing another elimination round? When? When is the final decision?

I think all Amazon has said is that they will announce the winner some time this year.

It's pure speculation that there will be another elimination round, who knows, maybe they will just announce the winner from the Top 20, or trim the list to a Top 10, then announce it, or trim the list to a Top 10, then trim it again to a Top 5, then announce it?

Heck, they can even cancel this whole idea all together!

All true. It even occurred to me that if they can't come to a consensus on one city, they could end up awarding it to two.
HQ3, anyone?

Even if it makes sense for a company like Amazon, don't think Denver's getting it. Time zone and lack of incentives are a problem.

Atlanta's problem is more weather-related than Georgian politics imo. Take the tornadoes out of the equation. You have cities up north that can somewhat function with a half foot of snow(or more) on the ground but down there it's possible the city shuts down with a half inch. ...Okay I'm being dramatic but you get the point.

And again if transit is a concern then why are people taking Raleigh seriously?
