You've said things that were untrue though, such as nobody has bashed Atlanta.

I just want posters to be aware that the blanket statements declaring Atlanta has it, everyone else can go home, is over zealous...But in no way should blanket statements be made to think Atlanta wins this contest hands down.
This is a strawman. I can only recall one poster saying as much (cBach) and he's not even from Atlanta.

Im done discussing this topic. There is a very real attempt to turn something into nothing. New topic. Also accurately assessing topics such as where a city stands in terms of politics is not bashing. I think there are a few posters that take factual information a little too personally if the fact doesnt declare a place in a specific way. And it was my entire point for the post I made on Atlanta to begin with.
Talking about a place, that has some negative influences/aspects or is ranked lower as a national city than a regional hub, is not bashing. It is restoring factual discussion to this thread. I honestly could care less about GA politics, but in terms of Amazon it 100% could play an influence. To call that out, is not bashing.
As I stated the regional pride of Atlanta as a hub for the SE seems it skews and elevates its perception within national rankings by just a bit. When Atlanta sheds its cloak from its mega regional hub/anchor and is evaluated amongst other major U.S cities, Atlanta falls in the middle of the pack in nearly all factual metrics, and skews out of a Top 10 Metro. (In terms of everything to transit/walkability/tech/wealth/income/politics/etc.)
This is not bashing. This is factual information. I think Atlanta has a lot to offer. And its competitive edge will only continue to grow, especially once it can manage its growing pains with transportation/ transit/land use planning and growth management.

I've been lurking on several C-D threads since Amazon announced this thing and Atlanta was by far the most assured that they were getting it. Then they freaked out once their state government starting acting up, lol.
News sources have reported Atlanta's chances took a hit. You don't have to be a genius to realize GA's right wing politics are terrible for Atlanta's chances.

You continue to deflect. Nobody has disagreed with objective data or that state politics could impact Atlanta's chances but you have said things that are untrue (people are putting Atlanta on Chicago's level, nobody is bashing Atlanta, etc.) and you refuse to address them. So I really hope you're done discussing this because it's beyond tired at this point.

And perhaps we can scratch Texas off the list as well.

As are Illinois' massive budgetary and corruption issues.
I think Illinois' location in the Central Time Zone is more of an issue. Otherwise, it would easily be a top 3 contender.
I don't even understand why Central time would be such a factor. One hour is such a minor difference b/t it and Eastern time, and it obviously hasn't hurt Illinois/Chicago given that it has so many F500s and many N. American HQs located there. I mean, if Central time were such a killer, then Austin should be wiped off the radar.
