Low unemployment often means more competition for jobs, and lower wages/income. Not necessarily a good thing.

Low unemployment means more competition for workers, not jobs. Usually coincides with higher wages, especially in entry level positions since employers cannot keep people in them cheaply.

Which is why many cities are seeing fast food salaries hovering at $15 an hour or facing the demand.
