LOL "Iowa is the best state in the country, according to the second annual 2018 Best States study from U.S. News & World Report" Well, the first sentence in the "report" shattered their credibility. At least we didn't have to read much.
Have you ever visited Iowa or spent time there? I’ll assume not but maybe you can prove me wrong.
I don’t think it’s best state in the US, but it does have a lot to offer. I’ve been for business multiple times, and always am impressed with the Des Moines area.

Some "flyover states" held their own in these rankings. That might rankle some.
I've been there once, but much of what I'm picking up on are those who've left the state and come to where I am. Maybe they're bitter grapes, but they share things that aren't particularly flattering of that state.

Every state has pros & cons
I hate California, but it doesn’t stop others from flocking here.
Generally foolishness— people only read this claptrap to see where their state sits on some imaginary and meaningless ranking. Originally probably busywork for interns in some cubicle nest in the back office. The only real value, if there is any, would be to compare the same place to itself on the detail level over multiple years.

Sure, but homers aren't conducting this, and it probably is more valid, than those on this forum, either trying to boost an area, or denigrate it. Most posters here, have an agenda.
So no one picked up on the fact that pretty much all top 10 states are the least diverse states in the nation lol?
