Homeless on $1200 month (apartments, living, move to)

The best places to land on my feet. No criminal hx, no drugs, prefer SW or Mexico. Ideas? Ty. Ed. Basically homeless need change. Age 60 young!

Portland's the default stopping point, though COL is rather high there. The south is cheaper. Maybe there or southeast coast. Possibly NM as farthest west.

Tucson AZ. You can find many decent one bedroom apartments in the $450-$500 a month bracket.

This is good advice. Regarding the suggestion of Portland someone made, I relocated from there because of the high COL. I was living on about $500 more than the OP plus a little variable extra per month. No way could I continue to make it there. My relocation choice was Cleveland and it’s well within my budget besides being a nice place to live.
