I've only driven in about half of the cities on that list, however, I will say the worse interstate driving experience I've ever had had to be Orlando. It was December (influx of snowbirds?) Lots of elderly drivers on the road, lots of people/tourists who didn't know where they were going, add that to your normal traffic, interchanges, plus some toll roads and it was incredibly stressful. This was also pre-smartphone and I don't think GPSs were all the common (early 2000s). I was literally ran off the road by someone trying to exit at the last minute. It was so stressful!
Boston by far is the worst. I’ve been there many times, but haven’t been in a decade when all the construction from the big dig only added to the chaos. Drivers don’t seem to give a f*** there. Maybe it’s gotten better.
I think NYC, while no picnic, isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. I do hate their small freeways. That actually goes for most the country.
I grew up in Southern California so Los Angeles is nothing to me, but it freaks people out I know from other cities on this list that I think are crazier to drive in, so go figure.
Detroit and Chicago I like because people drive fast, although there’s too many rust buckets flying down the road that I think are about to fall apart in front of me. The pot holes don’t help either. I can see how people can be intimidated in both citites.
Cleveland is like a slower version of Chicago and Detroit.
San Francisco is sketchy if you have a stick shift, coupled with a floor pedal parking break, been there done that, not fun at all. Short of that it’s fine, except for parking on hills, no thanks, I’ll pay to park.
For Seattle see above, although not as bad as San Francisco.
I don’t know why Denver is on this list, I’ve never had issues there.
While I’ve been there as an adult, I’ve only driven in DC as a teenager with a learners permit, so it not fair to comment.
I haven’t been to Cincinnati since I was a child, and have never been to Philly, Baltimore, or Pittsburgh.
I will say the world will be a much better place if people get out of the left lane when there’s traffic behind them. There’s nothing worse than people crusing in it that refuse to get over, I don't care how fast you’re going, you need to let people pass.
