Cleveland... my hometown!

Gonna go basic with city one:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ea...53!5m2!1e4!1e2

...and with nature one:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/E+...91!5m2!1e4!1e2

Now, as far as my regional urban pic, I'll go unconventional. The Connecticut Western Reserve is filled with beautiful towns built in the New England/Old World Village Green style. This one has been ruined to a certain extent (or at least, the main street/commercial portion), in the name of urban renewal.. but it still has some outstanding civic structures to be proud of. This is where I was actually born/grew up, near Cleveland. You can catch this city in the progressive for it's time, movie "One Potato, Two Potato": https://www.google.com/maps/@41.7246...56!5m2!1e4!1e2

Nature:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ha...26!5m2!1e4!1e2

Cleveland and Buffalo share the unique beauty dynamic of being on a Great Lake, but also being near Appalachia/part of the Appalachian Plateau.

I like these. Can't go wrong with E. 4th (urban) or Edgewater (nature).

For downtown, still think Euclid from Public Square to Playhouse Square takes it for urbanity.

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.4995...7i16384!8i8192

For non-downtown, I'm partial on E. 116th out to Euclid in University Circle.

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.5117...7i16384!8i8192

Though Little Italy is up there too down Mayfield, also leading into University Circle.

On a similar note, I've always liked the view in Lakewood coming down Cove to the Gold Coast ... though maybe more dense than urban, but to me still has a big city feel to it (even though it's technically a suburb).

You're nature shot looks like some of the views from the Rocky River valley on the west side.

Those are some classic big-city neighborhood views-and you are absolutely right regarding the Rocky River area! The steps of Fort Hill are something I'll frequently do as my last thing or first thing in town on way to or from the airport.

Cleveland looks like such a neat city! I don't know much about it. I've been to Detroit, Minneapolis, and Chicago. Cleveland's downtown bones look as dense and beautiful as those three. How is the street life? Vibrant? Hankering for St. Louis and Kansas City as well, not for any reason other than I've never been!

You have to check out Cleveland sometime! Legit a very cool city and very underrated. Check out these photos: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmMC9MwC

I also highly recommend you check out Cincinnati too, another underrated city I have been to twice now. OTR is one of my favorite neighborhoods in the US: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmF1Zf6F

Agreed. I was very pleasantly surprised with both cities! I always heard how Columbus is this great Midwest city. But it was very underwhelming, especially after having visited Cincy and Cleveland first. Definitely my least favorite of the three. I think because you only hear bad things about Cleveland, your expectations are low. But I loved going out for dinner and drinks on E 4th. Ohio City was really nice with West Side Market, Great Lakes Brewing, and lots of good bar hopping. Little Italy was very cute with some good wine stores and cannoli.

OTR is definitely the most shocking (in a good way) urban neighborhood I've ever been to. I couldn't believe a place like that exists away from the most major metro areas.
