Milwaukee's urban neighborhoods have always really interested in me. It seems very underrated. I'd love to visit one day!

My favorite part of Milwaukee...you can look around from this site. Downtown, overlooking Lake Michigan. A city, like Chicago, with a fabulous waterfront on a lake, that looks like an ocean.

Yes, come visit in the summer (when hopefully the virus mess has calmed down)... I find Cleveland during summer weekends, esp downtown and also Ohio City, Tremont and other areas, as vibrant and electric and pleasant as almost any big city you'll find ... beyond perhaps the megacities like NYC... (but the City can be downright Chicago-like in certain aspects)... There are times, though, when it may seem a little laid back during weekdays; fewer people on the streets -- downtown can even seem dead at times, esp during the winter when folks tend to hibernate during the cold, dark bleak season. But even then, there are cool indoor spaces worth seeing such as the Tower City complex, the Arcade (a little quiet though), Bar 32 at the new Hilton (great highrise views) and the new, repurposed Marble Room restaurant on Euclid -- probably the most elegant dining space in all Northeast Ohio... maybe the state.

Flats East Bank along the boardwalk on a warm weekend afternoon/evening, with all the boats, ships, rowers, jet skiers, etc, is THE place to be.. my go to spot is the 2nd deck bar, table area at the Alley Cat oyster restaurant along the Flats boardwalk.

Great pictures - I have been thru Cincinnati a couple of times but haven't had a chance to explore Cleveland yet. Here is a link to photo albums I have taken of several Buffalo neighborhoods, also underrated and overlooked along the same line.

No problem! Hope you make it to both someday. I was in Harrisonburg just recently actually for a GIS conference and hit every brewery there plus Billy Jack's Shack in my spare time. Neat town! My first impression as I drove in was why does it kinda smell like dog food lol?! It had just rained and had to have someone explain it to me. But really cool place though seriously despite that

Been in Virginia eight years now as transportation planner and project manager in this part of the state. Went to college and Grad school at UNC Charlotte before this and from Savannah originally. Been a while since I was out in SF. Last time was 5 years ago sightseeing with my sister who lived in LA at the time. Need to get back when things ease up!

Very cool photos. Following. I haven't been to Buffalo before, but my dad's parents are actually from there originally before they moved to Savannah in 60s and my grandpa is now buried there. I can definitely see a resemblance to aspects of downtown Cleveland and Cincinnati with some similar neighborhood vibes too. Need to make a trip there. Pretty sure I have lots of extended relatives there I've never met....
