The stereotype of liberal states being welfare dumps.... I’d like to see Alabama get a Silicon Valley or what have you.
I would say Huntsville AL is as good as Silicon Valley, which isn't that great unless you work in certain industries. Huntsville is a major engineering hub in this country.

Huntsville has a NASA facility, for one thing, and some innovation. So, not worth slamming so quickly GGMyth.

Typical south-bashing, fueled by brain-dead stereotyping and CA ignorance. Step outside your state and little world - if you have the guts- to get clues on reality.

Like I said before this silly stereotype war broke out

The best state to live is one where you prefer the geography, the quality or schools, do you like nice suburbs where you participate in all the suburban mom stuff, do you live in the city with no vehicle do you want to live in a very rural setting?

In Charlotte, a heavily democratic city, of youre conservative. There’s plenty of areas for one still. Ballantyne is a very desirable suburb. Top schools, lots of high paying jobs, etc

Modcut: violation of rules for posting images

Or you could live in the city center in Dilworth.

Liberals have their areas too.

And most places are like this. So pick a place that makes you happy. Geography, location, etc. Almost every city has their areas where it has a higher concentration of GOP or DEM. I wouldn’t pick a place depending on their abortion laws and such...

Folks if you feel so strongly about something that you must interject your personal opinion in a way that is not on topic with a thread it's best not to reply. Those of you who attempt to make this a referendum validating your personal disdain against those who hold different viewpoints than you, will not be allowed to participate in this thread. We have a forum for that in the politics section.

This is a moderating post, DO NOT respond to, quote, or reply to it.
