Hi, I'm a senior Computer Science/Electrical Engineering student at a major University in the Bay Area. With housing prices going through the roof here, I'd like to move to another region in the US(ideally large/fairly large cities) where buying an apartment/house is something feasible. My biggest criteria by far is availability of tech jobs with housing/living cost coming in as a close second. If possible, I'd like to have a major University in/near the city as well. I am really open to hearing any suggestions that you may have. Thanks

Seattle is somewhat expensive, but you can write you own ticket in computer science. San Francisco companies are exploding here, and the home-grown giants keep growing.
So is Grand Rapids, but Aerospace, medical, and a few other niches as well.
The OP did say they would prefer a large city.
What's large is relative, but Grand Rapids may not fit the mold they're looking for (I don't consider it large, personally).
