LOL NY or CA? Liberal abosolutely but those are police-states by libertarian standards. Montana is the last libertarian state left in my opinion. Missoula would be it's "hippish artsy college town" thus Missoula, MT.

If you are open minded, than why do you have problems getting along with people from a differenet political spectrum?

You're welcome to start a thread with definitions and differences in //www.city-data.com/forum/polit...-controversies and provide a link to it here in this thread. I'm just concerned about the prospect of derailing this thread into areas that are off-topic for General US if it's discussed further here.

There is also the Free Wyoming project [index]so I assume there would be a lot of libertarians in that state as well.

Like others have said, libertarians and libertarian-minded people tend to be in the rocky mountain west so try Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, & New Mexico although I think NM is less so. Try Alaska for the Pacific coast. New Hampshire is the exception on the east coast.

Socially liberal? Try Midwest City, Ardmore, or even Oklahoma City, all in Oklahoma.
