I'm trying out Boston right now, and Mass is kinda cool, but Boston is about the only major city around these parts. New England has a lot of great stuff, the main thing being scenery, which doesn't really hold my attention that long. I think it's great to have a couple of great major cities around to live in and visit. That said, I would say Texas, California and New York (because of NYC--now that is pretty much what I would consider the 'center' of the East Coast)

Missouri, Illinois (STL area), Alabama sounds nice, maybe Iowa. Maybe Ohio or Pennsylvania.

This isn't mean to insult that area, but is there a safe area on the East Half of the Saint Louis Metro in Illinois?

As I said - wasn't meant as an insult. So not sure of the reasoning for the "ummmmmmmm" ... What areas are nice over there? I've heard ESTL is horrible for crime!

I chose-

New Mexico- this is home and I like all areas of the state with the deserts, forests, and praries.

Texas-I like anywhere west of Dallas

Alabama-For some reason this state appeals to me from what I've seen

Tennessee-I wouldnt mind living in Nashville or a burb

South Carolina-I like that its smaller than NC and I would pick a small town here.

California-I love the weather and the whole So.Cal vibe.

Colorado-even though its really cold Colorado has some of the best scenery in the country.

[quote=dxiweodwo;3347041]1. Minnesota: love cold, snowy weather and beautful scenery.

4. Alaska- the area between Fairbanks and Coldfoot has the coldest winters in the nation and STILL average over 80 inches of snow. STUNNING SCENERY!!!

Man, I would be so depressed living there. Alaska would be paradise for you.

1. Colorado - It is so beautiful there (in the mountains, not the desert region!). I would absolutely love to move there.

2. North Carolina - But I wish there were a larger city along the coast.

3. Oregon - I would love to visit there and possibly live there, but I'm not sure I could handle the clouds and rain.

4. Washington - Same as Oregon. I want to visit Seattle.

5. California - It looks beautiful in pictures...but it's way too expensive out there!

What would that be? What would be the big draw to Kentucky? Coal mines?
