I have absolutely no ties to the city, so wouldn't make sense for me. But what's not to like right? Mid size city, beautiful, 4 seasons, close to the northeast cities,

I’m always shocked when people talk about how Pittsburgh isn’t so cheap anymore. I think they fall into the following categories: people who want shiny, new construction McMansions, people who expect the prices to be the same as when the city hit its nadir, and people who think that “affordable” means that middle-income people can live in the most desirable/expensive neighborhoods.

As I’ve stated in other posts, if I were inclined to live in the suburbs, I probably wouldn’t pick Pittsburgh, but if you want an affordable city lifestyle, Pittsburgh presents a better value than any city that isn’t Chicago or Philadelphia.

Denver , surprisingly, not bad:

Clemson, really impressive imo:

Dallas, impressive, but bad schools, we're not doing burbs right. Also I think this is affordable housingonly 150K:

Austin, this is 199k, great looking house, but crappy schools:

Saw a decent condo in clemson for 75k!1
