There is actually a good-sized, handsome stock of vintage houses right in Johnstown. I was impressed with the mostly intact architecture right outside of downtown.
Now the depressed economy there has much to do with the prices there, even as a city I found it to have a fine built environment and in a pleasant setting in the hills and by the river.
