This one should end up with a very short thread and some of the answers, quite frankly, are obvious. That said.....

What do we call people from your city and your state?

Such as....

• New York, New York: New Yorker, New Yorker

• Chicago, Illinois: Chicagoan, Illinoisian

• Indianapolis, Indiana: Indianapolitan, Hoosier

• Los Angeles, California: Angeleno, Californian

• Seattle, Washington: Seattleite, Washingtonian

I've always thought Ohio has a number of cities where I just can't figure out what to call the natives--or what they call themselves. I mean what do you call folks from Youngstown (Youngsters?), Akron (Akronite? That sounds like a new ingredient for laundry detergent), or Toledo (Toledonian? That sounds like a race of peaceful residents in a Star Trek episode). And I really can't imagine what natives of Cincinnatti call themselves. Does anybody know?

The cool one I've wondered about, however, is Butte Montana. Do city residents there consider themselves Beauties?

People from Akron are Akronites just as you suspected and people from Toledo are Toledoans. Typically, people from Cincinnati are referred to as Cincinnatians and those from Youngstown are called Youngstowners. Ohio does definitely have some unique city names

That would be interesting to find out what people from Butte call themselves; I unfortunately cannot help you with this as I don't know.

Also kind of strange because to my knowledge there is no particular name for people from my city

Walla Walla = Walla Wallans (lol)
Tri-Cities, WA = Tri-Citians

Local people will recognize Burquenos as a label for people living in Albuquerque but new arrivals and people from other places won't "get" it immediatly. Albuquerquean doesn't roll off the tongue very well. I suppose people from the neighboring town of Rio Rancho would be Rio Rancheros but I've never heard that used.
