Washington DC - $759,000 - 1BR - 1BA - HOA $435/month

This is actually not a bad deal considering the location. The HOA is reasonably priced too compared to other condo’s in the area.

So, you mean the cream of the crop mansions then?

@ckhthankgod, is that really less than a half hour from the city?

Center City Philadelphia. Not bad for a doorman building in the heart of the city.

Rittenhouse Square
$750,000
1 Bed, 2 Bath
1,275 square feet
HOA: $1,267/month

LOL. I couldn't afford $750k, and even if I could, I'd find a more reasonable area. That's insanity. Even half that would be overpaying, in my opinion.

The inevitable must be around the corner. "What kind of home can you get for $1M".

There are threads on here of homes for $100k, $250k, $500k, and $750k. A $1m thread isn't a bad idea. Just gives an idea of homes in a wide variety of price ranges from across the U.S.

Now we're getting to the threshhold of what would be considered an average, single-family house in my area. It won't be huge, it won't have a big yard and you will be very close to your neighbors, but you can get an actual house in good condition in a good neighborhood for this price.
