I actually think the Driftless is prettier than the Arrowhead. The shore is great, but the inland woods don't do as much for me.

That said, the Arrowhead area is completely Minnesotan, whereas the Driftless is more heavily associated with Wisconsin first and Iowa second, so it makes sense that Minnesota would embrace the Arrowhead more.

I'm in the land of protected tidal estuaries. My town has about 5 square miles of conservation land like that.

Cranberry bogs are kind of unique.

This is a genuinely hard one, I love the Palm trees of Los Angeles close to the ocean. Yosemite is absolutely gorgeous most of the year. Big Sur in Central Cal is pretty beautiful as well with the Monterey coastline. The coastal redwoods are dramatically beautiful. Mt. Shasta, the Cascades, the lava beds of Northeast California, and the many Alpine lakes are great this time of year as well. The John Muir wilderness in the Sierra contain the largest continuous area of over 10,000 feet in elevation in the continental US providing an awesome summer time escape. The Sierra all around offers the best experience IMO with elevations rising dramatically from -143 ft to 14,505 ft it simply can't be beat unless we're talking South America.

Since I recently moved from Duluth, I will answer for two places:

MN - really hard to answer since there is so much, but I really like the road from MN-61 to near Nine Mile Lake. It feels so wild and out of civilization.

OR - I love the Mt Hood wilderness, but Rouge River area near Gold Beach is also super pretty.
