Does this really break it down apples-to-apples? I guess I should clarify that I'm really just interested in real estate, and so I am curious about comparing similar luxury high-rise condo units in the heart of the CBD, or similar properties in a close-in trendy neighborhood with rail access, etc.

I'm leaning St. Louis on this, BUT I am not very informed about cost of living in Chicago.

Chicago leans a little expensive but you are getting a lot of city for your money.

I've always been impressed with Philadelphia, Baltimore and Cleveland.

I currently live in St. Louis and think it's one of the best options for urban living with a decent cost of living to income ratio.
