I don't know about those districts or areas of those districts not being diverse and she also said that she didn't mind snow.

Some high schools for some of the districts mentioned, Grosse Pointe North: https://nces.ed.gov/globallocator/sc...D=262574006230

Farmington Hills Harrison: https://nces.ed.gov/globallocator/sc...D=261407005054

West Bloomfield High: https://nces.ed.gov/globallocator/sc...D=263582007181

Salem High in the Plymouth Canton SD: https://nces.ed.gov/globallocator/sc...D=262856006419

Groves High in the Birmingham SD(where the children in the NE portion of Southfield in that district go to): https://nces.ed.gov/globallocator/sc...D=260585004226

Berkley High: https://nces.ed.gov/globallocator/sc...D=260501004187

So, these school districts are more diverse than some may know or realize and are likely to become more so in the future.

I could be wrong but she said "I don't mind a place that snows just no snowstorms." I took that as a place that might snow occasionally but doesn't get a lot of heavy snow frequently.

Yeah and hopefully the OP will clear that up.

What is interesting is that a place like Denver actually has a higher snowfall average than Detroit(mid 50's to 60's versus low/mid 40's in terms of inches). So, this will likely come down to what is too much for the OP.

I do love snow I just don't want to live where there is a heavy amount of snowfall or snowstorms. I used to live in the Bronx and Maryland and don't want to deal with the heavy snow again. I only like a great amount of it when I am on vacation.
