Lots of people do. Listen to the political pundits lump Pennsylvania in as a Midwestern state when talking about “winning the Midwest” in 2020.

Minnesota

No, it's not always cold. And this one, I hear from even locals "It's so dark in winter." The winter here is more often than not, sunny. Also, we don't get THAT much snow, usually. We'll get a couple storms but most of the snowfalls are moderate to light. I usually wish we got more snow, but it varies with the seasons.

People don't really sound like in the movie Fargo (most don't) but there is an accent on words like "bag" and the long "o."

People are surprised on how urban Minneapolis and even Saint Paul can be. No, it's not all country.

Mississippi

Forgot 1 more thing. People here don't have the country accent ( majority).

Do you mean that people in Mississippi don't have a stereotypical low-class, uneducated, rural/county Southern accent? Or do you mean that people in Mississippi don't have accents?

If you look at WV Democrat senator's record, he's not a conservative.

Given it is a poor state, it has had a lot of fiscally liberal voters.

I don't know any conservative who considers Manchin a conservative. You can't be a Democrat and a conservative. That doesn't make any sense.

Winning elections isn't being self entitled. Self entitlment is when you lose elections and act like it shouldn't matter.

False accusations of Nazism isn't compatible with social progress.

Most liberals despise him. I agree he's not a conservative but he is a very moderate Democrat

Snow amounts: It gets quite cold here, but snow amounts are not THAT crazy. 40-45" is typical despite having a quite long winter. Large snows occur once every 3 years or so (as in >6-8" at a time).

CoL: Cost of living is not that cheap here; salaries mostly do not justify the cost of living, which is fairly high.

Summer is cool: Sometimes (last couple years it mostly has been), but it can get quite hot and humid during stretches in the summer...Usually only a few days at a time though.

Rest is mostly true.
