I think it's pretty cool when a state line splits a city, like Kansas City, MO/KS, Bristol, TN/VA, and Texarkana, TX/AR.

NYC (NY/NJ/CT) and Cincinnati (OH/KY/IN) come pretty close also.

Anyone else been to the place where there is a dry-land border between Delaware and New Jersey?

By a count in my head, there are 100 state line segments in the US. I think I have crossed 99, all except MT/SD. Welcome to offer an exact count, if you have the energy..

This time I looked at a map while counting and got 98, not counting imaginary border at 4 corners. A couple of island crossings to the nearest mainland could bring it up to 100 --- From Michigan's Isle Royale to Minnesota, and Rhode Island's Block Island to New York.

California-Oregon (along Interstate 5) and California-Nevada (along Interstate 80 and Hwy 50) are some of the most beautiful statelines, however these are not very livable areas, for multiple reasons, from overpricing, to month-long heavy wildfire smog events (CA-OR) and wildfire risks, to lack of water and/or climate unfriendly to gardening. I lived in these areas and wouldn't want to keep doing so.

Kentucky/Indiana along the Ohio River east of Louisville stands out for me. Lots of big trees and rolling hills.

Also driving north on 1-25 at the NM/Colorado border is pretty cool. You're driving in the desert for a while and right when you get into Colorado it changes pretty quick. Moose/Elk crossing signs, snow capped peaks in the distance, lots of elevation gain and just an overall feeling that you've just entered a new world. Of course an hour or so later you're back in the flatlands, but it's still pretty cool.

Lastly, I thought the Utah/Colorado border on 1-70 is pretty cool driving west for the same reason as above..It's like you're entering a new world. Leaving the mountains behind and driving out into the desert where you can see forever.

Lines I've never been to but think would be pretty cool - California/Oregon, California/Nevada (near the sierras), Utah/Arizona, Montana/Idaho. Really almost anywhere in the west.

None of the above. Not a fan of the toothless Mountain Dew/NASCAR crowd.

I'd pick:
Arizona/Utah
Virginia/West Virginia (Northern Half)
Colorado/New Mexico
New York/Vermont
Pennsylvania/New York

From the poll I chose the GA/SC line on the strength of the Savannah/Hilton Head area.

Otherwise, I like the DMV, with DC as the center!!
