Geographically you are correct. Culturally most small Minnesota towns are very similar. I could see the Northwoods w/Duluth as its capital and the Farmbelt with Mankato or Rochester and The Cities kinda being on its own.

The Twin Cities isn’t really uber liberal unless you’re only talking about MSP and StP. The suburbs are fairly purple and the exurbs are light red.

New York City should not be in the same state as Upstate. Upstate isnt getting its fair share.

The situation in NY is complicated.

I would go with something a bit different. They can add the Capital District and everything SE of it to leave Upstate.



We'll just make a new Upstate capital somewhere else, lol. Any votes for Buffalo or Rochester?
