You can see that while yes, the percentages of Hispanics is higher in the west and south of Texas, it is also higher in the southern parts of California than in the northern part. In other words, in both states, there is a higher percentage of Hispanics the closer you get to the border with Mexico.

3) Speaking of minority populations, Texas has DOUBLE the percentage of African Americans as California has. Also, Arlington TX has a higher percentage of Vietnamese than San Diego, CA. Houston TX and San Francisco CA both have the same percentage of Vietnamese.

4) 84 percent of California's Hispanic population is from Mexico. 87 percent of Texas' Hispanic population is from Mexico.https://www.pewresearch.org/hispanic/states/state/tx
Thank you. I was SMH at his entire post.

Well, regardless of the actual figures, the Human Development Index for Mexican-Americans is markedly lower than that of other ethnic groups in the United States, which is a strong indicator of high gang participation and criminal behavior among that particular population group or any other, for that matter. For example, in New York State, which is quite geographically distant from Mexico relative to California and Texas and, accordingly, has a much lower percentage of Mexican-American residents, approximately 50% of all inmate at state prisons are of Mexican ancestry. Go figure.

Not even 25% of all prisoners in the NYS prison system are even Hispanic of any origin, much less specifically Mexican-American. Source: State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Under Custody Report, 2016

You have made a lot of unsupportable, even illogical, claims in your posts in this thread. If you stand by them, please cite some sources because, really, most of them are questionable at face value, much less under scrutiny.

That was more so Colombian gangsters. There's a bit of a difference between the Mexican cartel/California-Mexican gangs and the Colombian gangsters who lived in Miami in the 80s. Many similarities, but some differences. Many of the Colombians who sent the cocaine up to the US lived in Colombia. John Roberts and Mickey Munday were white American traffickers.

Lol I just saw a news story from Houston where 8 guys who appear to be Hispanic guys break into a restaurant and rob them

I think OP's assumption is based off the fact that there aren't 80s and 90s gang movies about Hispanics in Texas like they had in LA. Even in California though, you're not gonna see any young guys dressed in stereotypical Cholo fashion. That culture is pretty much dead, the new age Hispanic gangsters talk and dress exactly like the black ones.

The Vietnamese population in CA is mainly centered around San Jose and Orange County. San Jose has the most Vietnamese of any city outside of Vietnam.
