Black is for excessive clouds. I didn't have an easy way to overlayer multiple colors, so if it's brown, it's a flat area that's otherwise good for my climate preferences.

Interesting project and map - thanks for sharing. Our home is in SW MT in your "green zone"...and we winter from mid Nov thru Mar in Yuma. While the region of MT you have in green has less severe winters than the rest of the state, it is still really cold.

I've conceded many others argument that there simply is no perfect place for weather; simply because the few that come close are loved by WAY too many. Snowbird/Sunbird living gets us real close to the best place.
