What about San Jose????? It's the high tech capital of the world! It's the 10th largest city in the country. There's no way San Diego is above San Jose.

I think being the 10th largest city doesn't really do anything at all for it considering San Francisco is the 16th largest city and is 50 times more popular and influential than SJ

San Jose has better weather, more diversity, more Fortune 500 companies, bigger shopping malls and nicer downtown. San Jose is high tech capital of the world. SJ easily go toe to toe with SF.

Not in the world of most, but, it appears, in the world of some.
1. NYC
2. LA
3. Chicago
4 & 5. A toss up between San Francisco, Washington DC,, Philadelphia, & Miami in my opinion.
This general consensus is the most accurate. DC would take the #4 spot and then SF, PHL and Boston would fight for number 5.
A lot of people make arguments for Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, etc. But I am hard pressed to see how any of those are more premiere than the nations oldest, most developed, and most active cities (Philadelphia, Boston, San Francisco).
