I dont think that kind of money would go far if you were living off of the 5 million in San Francisco.

At the end of the day the two wealthiest have residences in Seattle.
B and G. But I digress.

Cities with the most billionaires. Undisputed that New York is #1 across the board in terms of extreme wealth.
San Francisco was the only other US city in the worlds top 10. The others on the list aren't surprising.

I think it doesn’t really matter. Wealthy people will do what wealthy people do.
Ultra wealthy tend to give back as we see from my B and G above. Though the G seems to be more generous.

Money pays bills, and its a great way in this topic to measure the great American innovation that still thrives on the west coast.

In terms of wealth on per capita basis,
I would say
NYC
LA
SF
Boston
are my top 4 from my experience in west coast and east coast over the years.

Hard to beat NYC. NYC has a BEVY of rich suburbs in Westchester, SW Connecticut, Long Island and New Jersey.

Most people don't make their money in Miami, they spend it in Miami. A lot of money is poured into the city and especially its vast waterfront communities. Many of these people no longer work for a living; they don't need to.
