These stats are based on your annual income. You bring in more money in cities in the north verses the south because of the higher cost of living. This is the reason DC is ranked higher than Atlanta when Atlanta has more professional blacks.

I don't blame them for being racist.

You trying to get someone killed? lol

Look, I've lived in various parts of Europe for years. . .and they are MUCH more "set in their ways" than USA. This is not even debatable. I knew one african american basketball player in Prague who would get in scraps on a weekly basis. Not the fighting type either, just defending himself. Seems the German, Polish, & Russian guys love to "test their medal" against dark westerners. He ended up moving back to Indiana (without a job prospect) because he was tired of dealing with it every day. A real shame. The fact is, african americans have it better here than anywhere on earth (though you wouldn't know it to listen to them haha).

Anyway, as far as the best cities for professional blacks to live, I concur with many previous posters. Cities with large black bases like Atlanta eventually trend toward a ghetto -vs- uppity blacks tension. It's pure class-ism, nothing to do with race. The coloreds who make it are often targeted (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-javonwalker-suspect - broken link) by their downtrodden cousins. So many times class tension is mislabeled as "racism". In fact, I think we could all do with burying the "race card" for a year. Or century.

Where do AAs have it better? And why wouldn't AAs be leaving in droves if that were the case?

they don't leave in droves because there is no one lace that combines everything. yes we get treated poorly here but at least we have work here.
