Always Sunny In Philadelphia shoots there.

Its now one of LA's creative hospots, adding in new office midrises for entertainment companies. Several towers are planned (two over 60 stories) and the first high rise (35 stories) is u/c. There's a ton of new residential midrises and loft conversions already. The arts district is so popular, the artists keep getting pushed out and gentrifying nearby neighborhoods/industrial areas.

For Philadelphia, the parts of Northwest Philadelphia that look like this street in Germantown:
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.0287...7i16384!8i8192
I think most people imagine rowhomes, lack of set backs, and lack of trees and greenery -- which to be fair, is a decent chunk of the city.

In Albuquerque, it is the North Valley. The North Valley is far lusher than anyone imagines possible in ABQ's distinct high desert climate: https://www.google.com/maps/@35.1194...7i13312!8i6656

If the North Valley is not surprising to those who have never lived in Albuquerque, perhaps the Huning Highlands Historic District will be. The neighborhood boasts distinct architecture relative to the rest of Albuquerque, with desirable historic Victorians, Colonial Revivals, etc. It is a stand out area amongst the adobe and ranch styles that compose much of ABQ's housing stock:

Nice pictures of LA PWright! Not what you would usually think of for LA.

For New York I would add that there are a number of offshore islands that people live on (not counting Manhattan, Long Island and Staten Island).

Roosevelt Island, Manhattan (population 10,000) --- in the middle of the East River between Manhattan and Long Island City, Queens. Developed with some of the ordinary Manhattan apartment buildings but the island contains a several parks, a 1700s farmhouse and a lighthouse.

Broad Channel in Queens (population 3,000) --- an island in the middle of Jamaica Bay with a neighborhood of 2 story Queens type houses and people who live closely with the water. In the middle of the Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refugee.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broad_Channel,_Queens

City Island in the Bronx (population 4,400) --- More two story houses with a nautical theme. Separated from the rest of the Bronx not only by water but by the extensive parkland of Pelham Bay Park.
