A lot of people are saying they haven't been to West Virginia. But there are plenty of hidden gems in that state.

I recently went to Keyser, a friendly and quiet Appalachian town with some good food.

I'm from the West. Have lived in (some of these places multiple times) Utah, Oregon, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California, and have visited all of the Western States except Hawaii. The nearest state I have not visited is probably Oklahoma, abt. 10.5 hrs drive from where I live to the OK border.

I tried this on Google Maps. It's West Virginia for me. I thought the closest would be Rhode Island. It would take about 3.5 hours to drive there. But it turns out I could be in West Virginia in just over 3 hours.

I don't know if I answered before but I'm guessing West Virginia. On the Atlantic Seaboard the only gap for me is South Carolina. Alabama is my only Gulf Coast gap. I have been to all West Coast states except Hawaii and Alaska.

I don’t count driving though.

For NC was Alabama, Tennessee.

For DC is West Virginia.

I grew up in Virginia and have lived in North Carolina for 15+ years and I've never been to Kentucky. I suppose I never had a reason to go and even though I've driven cross country twice in my life it never took me through KY. I've also never been to Mississippi or Alabama either, but I've been to 30+ states and numerous countries in 4 different continents.
