My theory is in another generation or so you’ll see a steep drop off in tattoos when young people see how ridiculous they look on older people all tatted up.
If you had to guess, what cities do you think have the lowest percentage of people with tats? What about states or smaller towns?
My brother always told me that East Coast states will always have graffiti even in the middle of nowhere. We hiked in the mountains of NJ and saw graffiti and we even saw graffiti in a Vermont hiking trail. West Coast generally has less graffiti. I'd say tattoos have to be more prevalent in the East Coast especially the ghetto cities.

I have seen graffiti miles from the trailheads in New Mexico and California.
It will be interesting to see how a large tattoo that has been on a person for 50 or 60 or 70 years will look with all the wrinkled, loose and excess skin. I look for tatoo removal to become a big business in the next 10 years or so.

Tattoos weren't invented yesterday. There are plenty of people from the hippie era with lots of tattoos who are now elderly.
Yep, I live in San Antonio and they seem to be everywhere.
