Next up in our “is ___ the south” is Atlanta. Why? Because I went and didn’t see Hicks and Confederate flags just throwing out there like it’s nothing. It was actually pretty urban. Basically not what you would expect on the lower half of the Mason Dixon line.

Plus Pimp C made a good point. When you get off the airplane in Atlanta, it’s Eastern standard time. Not central. So is Atlanta really the south?

Atlanta is very transient now but it is still very much the south. Especially when you get further out of the city limits you will very much know you’re in Dixie.
