I love living in Houston and share your thoughts on our state government. They suck.

The flip side is that I also hate California politics.

But Ive become politically homeless in recent years. I think the closest that would match me politically would be Minnesota or Colorado, but I hate the cold.

1. Salt Lake City, Utah.

I actually lived here before in the 90s and frequently visited there after I moved out. I like the city, but the rest of the state doesn't seem to offer that much besides natural beauty.

2. Albuquerque, New Mexico.

New Mexico, the state as a whole, doesn't really catch my interest, but ABQ in particular seems very livable and enjoyable to me.

3. Atlanta, Georgia.

I like the South, especially the Southeast, but Georgia isn't much of my favorite out of others. But I really enjoy and like Atlanta, the city.

4. Tulsa, Oklahoma.

I see Oklahoma as a flyover state that doesn't seem to offer that much. I don't like OKC at all, but Tulsa, the city and its topography seem enjoyable.

I’d be willing to live in Milwaukee but the states two largest cities have been politically killed by Gerrymandering.

I didn't think I'd have an answer to this, but then it struck me...

I could live in Concord, Keene, Littleton, Portsmouth or Laconia NH.

I'm happy to visit the rest New Hampshire, but I could never see myself living in areas outside of those cities.

I lived in Portsmouth for a decade. I have zero interest in those other places.

Maybe Casper, Boise, or Bismarck. The rural areas of those states are very harsh.
