Which states (or metro areas) have a low self-esteem?
Are there any places that have a problem when evaluating themselves, confronting problems, or finding solutions to problems. These could be social services, education, infrastructure, politics, or whatever.
I think an area that has a low self-esteem is one that would lash out with hostility if anyone points out a fault, telling such people to shut up and get out, adding that "we" are good, hard-working, decent people.
Because of low self-esteem problems are not confronted and improvements are not made.
What's your view?

Hmmmmmmmmm..... I wonder where you are talking about?
South Dakota (east). Good people overall, I think, but they somehow don't always seem to think so.
Cleveland too. I was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio, but left because of too much negativity. I do LOVE the city! These are just my perceptions.
Little Rock, and most of Arkansas in general, with the exception of Northwest Arkansas (Walmartville).
