It's a pretty area, the city is surrounded by large bodies of water to the west and east, in addition to mountains in the west, east and south. Because the city is built on 7+ hills, you can live in many city neighborhoods with breathtaking views at ground level. Many SFHs in Seattle have water and mountain views. It's also easy to escape the metro area since it has an urban growth boundary. You can get into farm country or wilderness very quickly by car or ferry.
0 votes for SA, Austin, and Dallas
2 for Houston
I take it that this forum isn't a big fan of Texas.
People only get 1 vote for "most beautiful" in the US. Anyone not voting for one of the current top 7 or so isn't being honest, or is severely delusional.
Of the top 7, I have never been to Honolulu, but I was most struck by the Portland area, more specifically the Columbia River gorge and the waterfalls, the lush green hills and valleys, etc. Of the others, in order, Seattle, San Francisco, and LA. NYC should be getting more votes, as the metro has much much more going on than just the city. Loved the trips up the Hudson.

Honolulu vs Seattle. Not even close with climate. But Seattle is the better, more vibrant city. But if you like 78 degrees everyday of the year then Honolulu is your choice.

As stated before, the poll is bloated with loads of choices. And if you only get 1 vote, then somes cities that would be higher get siphoned off to the "top cities." That means that there are people who seriously think the likes of Atlanta, Detroit, Charlotte, etc win it all over all these US locales. Assuming all in good faith here.
Ultimately, a good argument is better than any poll. The results are just noise, nothing to concern over.

Yep, the PNW is one of the most beautiful areas. From what I have seen it gets even better the further north you go (Vancouver, BC).
Unfortunately I'm used to the sun so I'll take the brown of Denver just so I can have sunny days year round. But can't beat the water, mountains, and year long greenery of PNW.
