Pretty telling that all the white states have low population densities. Also surprised Idaho isn’t on there. When I was in Boise I saw like 3 people who weren’t white.

Utah should also be on that list. White: 86.43%

One aspect to consider about Idaho and Boise, is that the Boise area has one of the largest Basque populations outside of Spain and France and many in the area trace their family heritage to Spain. Boise also has a fairly large refugee population and is a popular resettlement city.

Boise is also more white than a good amount of its suburbs. Idaho overall is about 78% white and that matches pretty well with boise overall, which is 78% white(which was a bit more than what I was expecting).

Utah is only 75.4% non-Hispanic White as of the 2020 census. The state has a sizable Hispanic population and one of the largest share of Pacific Islanders in the mainland US.

That’s giving you an estimate, the census is not. And this doesn’t include a count for Hispanics at all.

I was wondering since it was a bit different from the census sites. Regardless, Utah and Idaho are still among the whitest states in the nation.
Most of the diversity in both states is within the metro areas including Boise's metro which is home to most of the states Hispanic population.
