Where would I find more poisonous snakes wandering around my property?
Also, where have you lived that had the most snake encounters that you weren't expecting, or state you thought you'd see more but didn't?

As a whole it has to be Florida…. Just many more swamps and such. And invasive Burmese pythons also live there.

When my parents lived in Hot Springs Village, AR, I found out there is a tarantula season there. Errr, no thanks!

I’ve never seen a poisonous snake in Florida and that’s after living here 20+ years.

For POISONOUS Snakes, I would say Texas. For snakes in general I would say Florida. For Car Salesman, Lawyers, and Politicians … it’s pretty close between the two.

I think Florida has a big problem with invasives/ people releasing pythons into the wild when they get too large.

Texas has some mean snakes, but that's in less populated areas.

I don’t know the answer, but if we are discussing menacing reptiles, I feel like Florida is bound to lose.

I've never seen a poisonous snake living in Texas. That's not to say that there aren't many here if you go out in nature, but by no means is it a common occurrence to see snakes in urban areas.
