McDowell County WV, is the windiest place that I have lived. If you ever go hiking in southern or eastern WV, you probably won’t use the word hills to describe it. They are small mountains and rugged.
We have a windy season (mini-season) in New Mexico that is noted for its unrelenting nature when it gets started. Often it will last a couple days, pause for a day or two, and start up again. Coming in the spring, it might last for 3-4 weeks. We have to flush out the tumbleweeds. Flying into Albuquerque from the east on a windy day is an adventure as you come over the mountains and drop down to land.
Denver area. 100mph winds helped burn 1000 homes a few weeks ago.
Someone on my work team actually lost their house from this. Like as in 100% of it. It was really sad to be that close to someone you care about. The people were safe, but insurance is no joke to deal with I've learned.

San Bruno, CA, where there was wind most every day, plus the noise of planes taking off from SFO airport. Here east of Seattle, WA it's rarely windy but we will get 1-3 storms a year with damaging winds up to 40-50 MPH, knocking out power with trees or large branches falling over.
Boulder, CO for me. It's always windy there. In school I'd have to pedal westward to class every day with a headwind. Then going home (eastward), I'd hardly have to pedal at all with the tailwind. More often than not, when I'd go up to Table Mesa to hike, the wind would be roaring through the treetops. The trees themselves up there all have an eastward lean too.
