Los Angeles. The trees and bushes they plant along the freeways are exotic and interesting to look at while stuck in gridlock at 7 AM on a Saturday morning.

Ohio hate is like "a thing" and I don't really understand it.

Columbus, although I don't hate or even really dislike it, is my least favorite of the state's major cities. Just kinda "meh" --- there's nothing particularly special about it that's making it grow, besides just the lack of declining industry that makes people leave other Midwest cities. However I absolutely love German Village, it's one of my favorite Midwestern city neighborhoods.

I totally don't get the hating on Ohio thing. Personally, I think Ohio is one of the most underrated states in the US. I may not love the various cities but I like them fine and for the most part they seem clean and well kept.

And I really love Xenia and the Yellow Springs area near Dayton. I think it's a beautiful area.

Honestly, I think it's a rust belt generalization thing for many people. I also think it lacks a bit of identity in that it doesn't feel like true "Midwest" like Michigan, WI, MN, IL do, but it's also not east coast.

On a personal level, I don't dislike OH

California has beautiful beaches. But it is not the actual place that I dislike, rather there is something else I dislike about California.

San Francisco is a city with great access to nature. I also like its urban layout and unique neighborhoods too.

Yeah -- what's to hate? To me, Ohio has always been plain vanilla compared to everyone else's Neapolitan, mint chocolate chip, strawberry, cookie dough, fudge chocolate, and Pistachio. It's okay by itself but could use a little something.
