1. tropical climate - hot, humid, and rainy. Never cold or snowy.

4. high density urban area
5. excellent 24-7 public transportation including rail - no need for a car
6. good asian food both in groceries and restaurants
7. employment in my field
bonus points for availability of green cohousing condos and english-speaking areas.
Maybe Singapore? Manila? Honolulu is close but needs to catch up with the public transportation.

Houston would be ideal if it continues to improve it's public transit.
3. City with distinct neighborhoods with little shopping areas. Easily accessible downtown shopping area with large variety of stores
4. Nice suburban cities that have that small town atmosphere
5. Outdoor ice skating in winter, outdoor swimming in summer
6. Major league or D-1 college sports, esp. football and gymnastics (college only, obviously)
7. Plenty of health care jobs
8. Mountains nearby, hilly topography
10. Diversity in the true sense of the word: economic, cultural, racial all living fairly close together
11. A university nearby for cutural activities
12. Decent economy
13. A little "grit". Factories OK
14. Good public transportation
