I had to look into Denver recently for a potential work move. It's solidly $800K+ if you want a typical suburban home in a decent school district. The biggest downer is that most of the housing stock built in the last 50 years there is somewhat ugly for what you pay.

^Agreed. Denver is a beautiful city with kinda ugly homes at a pretty high price point. A little boring too. I could live there but not top of mind.
