Most American cities and states have moved on from masks. However there are some that still wear them regularly. Where do you think is the most mask loving place?

In Seattle sometimes more than half the people at the grocery store are still wearing masks. A lot of people still wear them while walking outside. I’m convinced Seattle is one of the last holdouts. Anywhere else like this?

Here in inner suburban NoVa, I would say it's about 50/50 now on average.

I'm in Seattle also and outside of dining establishments it's probably still 80% with masks indoors. Outdoors most people don't have masks. On the hiking trails I see practically no one with masks. Went to SAAM today and almost everyone had a mask on. Definitely one of the last holdouts. There's a sizable tech population here that are WFH and still completely in their pandemic bubble.

To me it's fine. Seattle is pretty anything goes kind of place anyway so I have no problem if people want to wear their masks forever as long as those who don't want to wear them are left alone as well.

In Los Angeles , it's probably higher in 50% but depending on the person. Asian and Latinos tend to wear them more than white and black. I was in downtown LA past week to see the setup security for summit of the America. It was 50/50. Because most of the places and area I live is more Asian and Latino, it feels like 80% + wear it. Even many kids coming out from school wear them going home alone. I go grocery shopping at a Latino supermarket and 80% wear mask but shop at a trader Joe's and Vons. It's less than 50%. Interesting observations. Also within families the father or males doesn't wear mask as often while mothers and children do moreso among latinos in my area.

My parents in the inner-ring Chicago suburbs say it's still like 90% in their circles and the events they go to.

In Seattle, it really depends on subculture IME. I went to a lecture at UW in April and almost everyone there (150+ people) had masks. A couple weeks later I went to this "casino night" at my friend's gym and out of like 30 people, no one had them. A regular meetup I go to (centered on a "nerdy" interest, lot of tech people) is like 70% masked these days.

Probably less that 10% here in Wisconsin, if that. Usually it’s someone working with the public.
Maybe higher in Milwaukee and Madison.
Certainly not all that common and I’m surprised to hear there’s still 50/50 usage anywhere.

The retail workers still wear it (usually). Less than 20% of customers in Raleigh. It’s worse in the outlying towns. I’m trying to think if I saw people with them at the movies last night (which of course skews younger) and I’m not positive I did.

I count grocery stores as kind of the 'standard' measurement because it's where you get most people from most walks of life.

At other events it's more self-selective. I've been to a few ballgames this year already and out of the thousands of people I saw, only a very small percentage wore masks (maybe 2%?). But then the kind of folks who still wear masks when going to the store probably wouldn't want to go to a mass event like a ballgame in the 1st place anyway. I imagine movie theaters aren't that different in that the very nature of the event filters out a large % of those who're still very concerned.

I'm in Arlington, VA & I don't see it much here. I didn't see it much in Vegas when I went a couple of weeks ago, & I see masks being worn in NJ. It's weird, sometimes I feel as if I'm the only one wearing a mask in Arlington. DC it depends. I think it might be a cultural thing who wears/doesn't wear masks.

When I recently lived in Texas most of the people wearing masks in the stores and everywhere else were either Indian or Asian. This is in the suburbs north of Dallas.
