13 neighborhoods in LA have a population density greater than Queens. One of them Koreatown is more than twice as dense as Queens. Yet all of these places allow right turns on red, and pedestrian fatalities are not remarkably high because of it.
You do realize you are comparing neighborhoods in LA or micro municipalities to a whole county in New York, right? This is not apples to apples. But if you were wondering, there are indeed neighborhoods in Queens denser than Koreatown.
